Photo Opportunities: Capture the moment! Bring your camera to snap photos of Cinnamon and the other Capybara during this unique experience.

Experiences are taken in groups of 6.

Meet the Meerkats is a once in the lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal to these eccentric and amusing creatures. The encounter is 1 hour long and is for 2 people.

During this hour long experience you will get hands on with our groups of friendly Meerkats. During this time you will be offered the opportunity to hand feed and interact with them whilst some of the Meerkats may choose to climb on you. Our keepers will be there throughout to help guide you through the experience and answer any questions you may have whilst ensuring you have a fun and safe experience.  An ideal gift for any Meerkat lover.

The experience is suitable for anyone 6 years or above. Takes place in groups of 4-6 people.

Join one of our experienced Lemur Keepers for a 1 hour experience meeting some of our Lemurs. Help feed them, prepare enrichment and get up close and personal with up to 3 species of Lemur.

Throughout the experience you will be accompanied by one of keepers who will be keeping you safe whilst ensuring you have an amazing experience. They will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

£150 for 2 people.

This experience is taken in groups of 4-6. This experience is suitable for anyone over 8. Participants must be able bodied for safety reasons.

THIS EXPERIENCE WILL REPLACE THE MEERKAT, LEMUR AND SERVAL IN JUNE 2024. ANY VOUCHERS FOR THIS EXPERIENCE ARE VALID FOR THE MEERKAT LEMUR AND SERVAL UP TO THAT DATE.

You will start the hour long experience by hand feeding one of our groups of Meerkats. During this time you will be offered the opportunity to hand feed and interact with them whilst some of the Meerkats may choose to climb on you.

You will then move onto meeting one of our groups of Lemurs and helping with their enrichment. We have three species of Lemurs at Hoo Zoo and during your experience you will get to meet one of them. Whether its the Black and White Ruffed Lemur, Ringtailed Lemur or Collared Brown Lemur you meet they are all extremely friendly and love to take food from you.

Our keepers will be there throughout to help guide you through the experience and answer any questions you may have whilst ensuring you have a fun and safe experience.

The Carnivore Combo is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with 4 top Predators. During the hour long experience, you’ll get to meet our Servals, feed the Foxes and stroke one of our Owls and Snakes.

The first animal will be one of our Owls. We have several Owls that get used on this experience and you’ll have the fantastic opportunity to handle one of them.

You’ll then move onto our Foxes who you can hand feed their favourite food (chicken) – this isn’t for the faint of heart as the chicken comes in its purest form but gloves are provided.

After this you’ll meet one of our slithery friends. This is usually a boa constrictor – although this can change.

You’ll finish the experience with Duma or Zeus, one of our Servals. You’ll be invited to get close to these amazing cats and help prepare some of their enrichment.

This experience is taken in groups of 4-6. This experience is suitable for anyone over 8. Participants must be able bodied for safety reasons.

Running from 10am to 12pm, this experience takes place in groups of 6-8 people allowing everyone ample time to meet and feed the various animals.

An example itinerary:

9.50am - Arrive at Hoo Zoo

10.00am - Check in for the experience

10.05am - A short safety briefing to make sure you get the most out of your experience whilst staying safe.

10.10am to 10.40am - Handle our Reptiles (the reptiles used change session by session but may include a Burmese Python, Reticulated Python, Giant Tortoise or Monitor Lizard).

10.40am to 11am - Handle our Hedgehog

11.00am to 11.20am - Stroke one of our Skunks

11.20am to 11.40am - Hand feed one of our groups of Lemurs.

11.40am to 12pm - The favourite part of most peoples experience, Meerkat time. Get up close and personal with our Meerkats. During this time you will be offered the opportunity to hand feed and interact with them whilst some of the Meerkats may choose to climb on you.

Our keepers will be there throughout to help guide you through the experience and answer any questions you may have whilst ensuring you have a fun and safe experience.

£150 for 2 people. Participants must be able bodies and 6 years or older. Taken in groups of 6-8 people.

During the Cat Feeding Experience you’ll be able to help our keepers train and tong feed all our cat species. Please be aware that this experience will take place outside most of the cat enclosures and feeding taking place from the other side of the fence.

You will be given the opportunity to prepare the food (meat – not for the squeamish), enrichment and tong feed up to 4 of our cat species at Hoo Zoo. During this amazing experience the keeper will remain with you throughout informing you about the animals and ensuring you’re always safe.

Taken in groups of 4. Participants must be able bodied and 16 years or older.

During the Wild Wolf Breakfast you'll be able to help our keepers tong feed our Wolves from the safety of the keeper area.

You will be given the opportunity to prepare the food (meat - not for the squeamish), enrichment and tong feed our Wolves at Hoo Zoo. During this amazing experience the keeper will remain with you throughout informing you about the animals and ensuring you're always safe. The Wolf feeding will take place from the keeper area just outside of the Wolf paddock.

You will then be taken to meet the Wolves near cousins - our Red OR Arctic Foxes - where you'll be invited into the enclosure to hand feed.

Afterwards you're welcome to stay and explore the rest of the zoo at your leisure.

By the keepers discretion we may choose to forgo the food preparation part of the experience in order to allow more time with the animals. This will happen in the event that the keeper decides that the Wolves or Foxes are being more interactive on that day.

Taken in groups of 4. Participants must be able bodied and 16 years or older.

Taking place on Saturdays from 5pm to 9pm, this unique experience offers a fantastic opportunity to get up close and watch some fantastic British wildlife in their natural habitat. The Hoo Farm Badger Sett is over 30 years old and is home to about 20 badgers. The badgers are very used to our presence and regularly go about their normal behaviour.

Badgers aren't the only animal to be seen, Foxes are regularly spotted as are Jays, Tawny Owls and even the odd weasel.

Participants must be 16 years or older. Taken in groups of 10.

Although sightings are common, they are not guaranteed. In the event that a Badger is not seen you will be invited to redo the experience free of charge at a later date - this is down to the discretion of the guide.

Suitable for Children aged 15 and below. Adults who are not accompanying a child will not be allowed to take part.

During the Jurassic Experience you'll need to help our Dino Ranger check on all our dinosaurs ensuring that they're staying to the correct time period and aren't getting sick.

Take a guided tour around Hoo-Rassic World and help dress any injuries, make sure that the herbivores are fed and even have your photo in our 'Hoo-Rassic World' car. Be sure to have a photo with the 'King of the Tyrants' the Tyrannosaurus Rex whilst you're there.

After that, head down to our Dino Cabin and learn all about everything dinosaurs whilst handling real fossils and meeting one of our Baby Dinos. Finally you'll get to meet our juvenile T-Rex 'Sue' and hand feed her.

After all this excitement you'll be able to spend the rest of your day at Hoo Zoo.
